1 : to add (one's comment or opinion) to a conversation or discussion that one has been listening to He kept chiming in with his opinions. 2 : to be in agreement or harmony with (something) The illustrations chimed in perfectly with the story.
Lunch hour will find me walking and using this quite time to reconnect with nature, with my Lord. Taking care of my physical and spiritual self outdoors is now a part of my routine as I have being walking in this same area since August.
The wind was brutal and spitting snow on a recent walk. The traffic from the highway was much more noticeable than usual. Then just a few notes of a melody came through the air, and then a few more. Church chimes could be heard! Knollwood Baptist perhaps, The Greek Orthodox church, one of the two churches in Hanestown with one being for sale, I could not tell. Maybe it was the church that is now in Bethsada Moravian.
Where this uplifting melody originated from is not the point. Not many people heard this but the blessing of music was in the air.
Chiming in has two meanings, we get to chose how our "chimes" sound. Sometimes it is just a quiet word or two barely heard with the noise and confusion that make a day brighter.
